the thing about being someone who’s never catcalled is that you start to wonder why like is it because im ugly???
and then you realize that youre judging your worth by whether or not you are objectifiable to a man and thats so fucked up like honestly its so fucked up
but the worst part about the patriarchy is that it still sits at the back of your mind regardless like “nobody thinks youre pretty because they dont see you as a sex object” like somehow thats a desirable thing and it fucks me up
What I meant was, I wanted our hipbones to hold hands
while I take your lungs out to dinner. Dance with your
sunburned arms while I keep pretending that I am the moon
that pulls your tides back into place. The sea
would have been so jealous of the salt lines we leave behind
after dancing to the waves. I wanted you, and your left hand
tracing my backbones’ steering wheel to home. Your right hand,
a mailbox with endless love letters, on top of my knee,
I do not always have time to write back to, and still. You are so still.
What I meant was, I never should have taken these parts for granted
if they could have been the parts that kept us whole. We could
take each other’s toes on a walk on side street alleys and kiss
on benches full of thumbprints of no one we know. We could
do so much more, if we only we had taught of it before.
So, my birthday isn’t until Wednesday but my parents and sister put together a mini family celebration for me yesterday and it had a Veronica Mars theme!!! My sister has watched the show as well, so she definitely had a HUGE part in making this so perfect! She even made a spirit box with snickerdoodles! THE CUTEST!!!
This is perfect?

Valentin Yudashkin sent down an absolutely gorgeous and delicately feminine collection for his Spring/Summer 2015 collection. Flower appliqué and immaculately precise stitching accompanied ethereal silhouettes. There were billowing skirts, elegant daywear and pink floral pieces that personified Hans Christian Andersen’s Thumbelina. Hand-painted watercolors and pastels juxtaposed the metallic filigree in a strikingly luxurious way. When you lacquer something in gold, it becomes that much more precious.
The models looked like walking vases - an open canvas for blooming life and rejuvenation. The dresses could be mistaken for floral couture, as if a garden was blooming directly on them. A palette that consisted of the colors of clouds could only be fit for a modern Disney princess and her woodland nymph counterpart.

Sometimes recovery is waking up early to write in coffee shops and practicing yoga and eating lots of fruit and chocolate and sometimes it’s staying in bed all day and hiding from the world until you can stop crying. All of this is okay. What’s important is that you take care of yourself no matter what kind of day you’re having.
